On Saturday, March 24, groups of students, parents, faculty/staff, and alumnae participated in the March for Our Lives in Washington, DC and other cities. The march to promote safety in schools and move forward with more sensible gun laws was organized by students from Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL, where a school shooting on Wednesday, February 14 killed 17 students. Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington organized an event for Catholic high school students at St. Patrick's church in Washington, DC, to begin the day. Students (including Holy Cross students) gave personal testimonies about their fears and hopes at the event which included a Mass.
