Holy Cross girls recently participated in two programs organized by the Catholic University of America Music Department. On Saturday, January 20, Samatha Miller '18, Belane Ayelework '19 and Siobhan Wompler '20 represented Holy Cross in the Catholic University High School Honor Band. The band is made up of musicians from Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of Washington and the surrounding areas. School band directors were asked to nominate outstanding band members to spend the day performing together. Students were given music to audition with so that they would be seated accordingly. The combined band performed two pieces together and one piece with the Catholic University Band.
