Both teams worked diligently to raise funds for the LLS. Holy Cross supported several fundraising events for both teams including a Faculty vs. Student Dodgeball game. Each team organized several fundraising events on their own as well. Over $851,000 was raised by all 24 teams participating in the Student of the Year competition – an increase of $250,000 over last year’s total. Both Holy Cross teams received college scholarships for their accomplishments in the program.
The LLS Student of the Year program is part of their Student Series for schools and students at all grade levels to help support the LLS mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
