On Sunday, December 4, Class of 2017 Seniors and their mothers/guardians enjoyed a longstanding Holy Cross tradition – Senior Tea. The annual event is planned and hosted by the Class of 2019 Sophomore Class who are the “Little Sisters” of the Seniors.

The auditorium, where the tea took place, was decorated with beautiful poinsettias and wreaths purchased as a fundraiser organized by the Home and School Association. The decorations provided a lovely backdrop for the many photos taken. During the event, students were welcomed by Principal Melissa Huey-Burns. Faculty member Casey Robertson shared about the Senior Tea tradition at Holy Cross and Assistant Principal of Academics Rodney Larsen gave a lesson on the history and proper etiquette of the formal High Tea. All enjoyed each other’s good company.

The Senior Tea is a tradition dating back to the 1990s but has roots in teas and gatherings from the days at our Upton Street campus. See other Holy Cross traditions here.
