During her summer in Korea, Chewon (Chelsea) Kwak ’18 was selected to participate in a high school student internship program led by the Korea Press Arbitration Commission. She learned about how KPAC regulates the media and settles disputes over news reports. During the week-long program, Chelsea was able to observe actual trials being held where people filed complaints about news reports. She also took part in several mock cases where she worked with her team mates to help come up with a reasonable compromise between the complainant and the media. She was selected as one of the best interns and was interviewed by a reporter for a local newspaper.
