Valedictorian Grace Miller ’20 remarked to the Catholic Standard about singing the alma mater, her favorite school tradition, “Whenever we sing the alma mater, we yell the last line. It’s just a burst of school spirit.” Grace is featured in the graduation series of the paper published on Thursday, May 28 and online on June 3.

The story notes Grace’s varied interests and activities in addition to her top academic achievement. She is a National Merit Commended Scholar and was recognized by the National Hispanic Recognition Program. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, Spanish Language Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society and the International Thespian Society. Grace is also a Madeleva Scholar with distinction and a Sancta Crux Scholar. She has starred in many of the Holy Cross performing arts productions during her four years and was selected to sing with Maryland All-State Senior Mixed Choir. Grace has been a leader on the Adrenaline Dance team and served as the captain for the honors team this year, collaboratively choreographing dance routines for the squad. In the fall, Grace will attend Vassar College, where she plans to study physics and theater arts.
