Josephine "Jo" Matta '19 has been recognized as a Finalist in the National Hispanic Recognition Program.
The National Hispanic Recognition Program, sponsored by the College Board, recognizes high-achieving Hispanic/Latino students who take the PSAT and score above the minimum required PSAT Selection Index score. The Selection Index in Maryland is one of the highest scores, making it extremely difficult to achieve this accomplishment in this area. In addition to the PSAT score, students that are named finalists must have at least a cumulative 3.5 GPA. Approximately 2% of the Hispanic/Latino juniors in the nation who take the PSAT are recognized as finalists for the program.
Jo was recognized at the all-school assembly on Monday, October 15.
