"May Peace Prevail On Earth" this statement in English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Tagalog, and Kirundi are inscribed on the newly dedicated Peace Pole in the Holy Cross front circle. During a special all-school ceremony on Friday, September 21, the pole was dedicated and blessed.

During the assembly beginning in the Holy Cross auditorium girls in the Peer Ministry class spoke about the establishment of the International Day of Peace (September 21) and the Peace Pole Project, established in 1955 by Masahisa Goi. The six languages chosen for the Academy's pole represent the languages of origin for our students and our sister Holy Cross school in Uganda.

Following the assembly, everyone gathered at the Peace Pole where it was blessed by Father Ben Garcia. The Holy Cross Peace Pole is made of mahogany wood and was hand crafted by Joe Anderson, brother of Director of Social Justice Emily Teter, who organized the ceremony.
