Two students in the Class of 2019, Belane Ayelework and Sara Melley, have been named Commended Students in the 2019 National Merit Scholarship Program. Commended Students earned a national Selection Index score of 212 or higher among more than 1.6 million students who entered the 2019 competition by taking the 2018 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Approximately 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are recognized for their exceptional academic promise.
Belane and Sara were recognized during the all-school assembly on Monday, September 10.
