The Academy recently welcomed 15 Sisters of the Holy Cross who were visiting the area from around the world. The visitors included sisters from Bangladesh, India, Uganda, Peru, Brazil, and the United States, who work in a variety of ministries including education, pastoral care, health care, and administration. Their trip to Holy Cross included lunch with staff, a tour of the school – including the 150th Anniversary Heritage Hall, and a presentation by President Katy Prebble. The visitors also met informally with girls from the Class of 2019, who were on campus for the Application Academy seminar.
The sisters are attending a tour known as the International Renewal Program (Tertian Program) organized by the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross. The tour is an opportunity for the sisters to strengthen their bonds within the congregation and set goals for ongoing formation in the community and their ministry. During their pilgrimage, they visited several Holy Cross missions in the United States.
