Preetam "Pree" Bhutani '20 worked as an Election Judge for the Primary Election Day in Maryland on Tuesday, June 26. In preparation for the primary, Pree attended trainings and worked with her team to set up the polling location the night before the election. She then reported to the polls at 5:45 am and was responsible for assisting voters with voting equipment and overseeing election procedure throughout the polling place. Pree has volunteered as a Student Election Aide since the 6th grade and her volunteer experience led to this opportunity. She describes her experience as challenging, interesting and personally rewarding and is looking forward to working in the November midterm elections.
